The marvels of technology helped both Mary J. Blige and Jason Derulo to appear at multiple award shows last evening. The pair’s pre-taped performances at Nickelodeon’s 2011 TeenNick HALO Awards at the Hollywood Palladium from October 26th finally aired last evening while the simultaneously appeared on other networks.
In addition to a dazzling performance of ‘Marry The Night’ by the ever-eccentric Lady Gaga at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards today, a host of other acts also hit the stage. Among these artists were Jessie J, Jason Derulo and Bruno Mars, who all delivered unique showings at the annual event.
The 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards are underway at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland and the brightest young stars of Pop music have already filed into the venue. As expected, several acts, including Katy Perry, Jessie J and Bruno Mars, flaunted their red carpet fashions at the exciting event.
Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ quickly shot to the top of the United World Track Chart last week after less than 6 weeks of availability. However, following the trend of almost all of the Pop star’s previous hit songs, the track quickly lost its grip of the #1 slot.
Jason Derulo’s ‘Future History’ album grossly underperformed but he has forged ahead by exactly what he does best – promoting his singles. ‘Breathing’ is the third official release from ‘Future History’, following ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ and ‘It Girl’ – both of which peaked in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100.
